1. On May 28, 2020Texas College of Cosmetologysigned and retuned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has not used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 1800(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid to Students.
2.Texas College of Cosmetologyreceived $241,750 from the Department pursuant to the institution's Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
3.Texas College of Cosmetology has or will distribute the following amount of Emergency submission (i.e., as of the 30 -day report and every 45 days thereafter).
4.Texas College of Cosmetologyestimated a total 181 students at the institution(s);(Abilene, San Angelo, Lubbock) who are, or could be, eligible to participate in the Federal student financial aid programs under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and thus are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
5. 181 students atTexas College of Cosmetologyhave or will receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
6. The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(A)(1) of the CARES Act are listed below.
a. Must have been enrolled in a Title IV eligible programs as of February 21, 2020
b. Students who took a "Leave of Absence" on or after February 21 are eligible.
c. Students who were on a "Leave of Absence" prior to February 21, 2020 and retuned to school after June 1st, 2020 are eligible.
d. Students who withdrew from the program after February 21, 2020 are eligible if the reason for the withdrawal was related to COVID-19
7.Texas College of Cosmetologydistributed the funds in one disbursement and divided the funds available equally among each student who met the criteria in line 6
